How it works

Upload, ask, check the source

  1. 1

    Add your documents

PDFs, Word files, Markdown and notes. Islet reads each one and indexes it passage by passage.

  2. 2

    Ask in plain language

No keywords, no folders to remember. Ask the way you would ask a colleague who has read everything.

  3. 3

Get an answer with its source

Every answer names the document it came from. If your files do not cover it, Islet says so instead of guessing.

Features

A search that reads, and shows its work

Answers you can check

Each reply carries the document, page and section behind it, so you can go read the original.

Projects keep it focused

Group documents into a project and a conversation searches only those. Everything else stays out of the answer.

Private by design

Your documents are scoped to your account and never used to train anyone's models. Delete one and everything derived from it goes too.

Start without an account

It works from first launch. Sign in later and everything you have already created comes with you.

What can I upload?

PDFs, Word documents, Markdown and plain text, up to 20 MB per file. Contracts, research papers, meeting notes, manuals, exported wikis — anything you would otherwise search by hand.

How do I know an answer is right?

Answers are drawn from passages retrieved out of your own files, and each one is cited, so checking it is one tap. When your documents do not contain the answer, Islet tells you that rather than inventing one.

What happens to the documents I upload?

They are stored against your account, split into passages and indexed so the relevant part can be found when you ask. They are never shared with other users and never used to train AI models. Deleting a document removes its indexed passages in the same operation.

Can I use Islet without an account?

Yes. The app creates an anonymous account on first launch so it works immediately. When you later sign in with Apple or email, that anonymous account is upgraded in place — nothing you created is lost.

What does it cost?

Islet is free to try. Islet Pro raises the limits on documents and questions; current pricing is in the App Store listing.
